It’s been a busy couple of weeks here in Reno. I’ve been busy finishing up older projects and of course starting new things. I always seem to have too many projects going on.

First up in big news (OK, at least to me) is that Tanya (Tawn85) and I have started our sideline business
Diaper Cake Creations & More! by Tawn & Lisa

Our first commissioned cake was delivered last Saturday to a friend who requested a Red, White and Blue theme. The star clothes pins will be used to hold gift cards. She loved it.

We had done a previous diaper cake and banner for a friend’s baby shower and got so many compliments and comments that we decided to add one more thing to our busy schedules.

Note: the banner is reversible – to hang in baby’s room.

We’ll never be millionaires, but it’s challenging and fun.

I also finished up a cross-stitch piece that I was working on for a friend’s baby, now I just have to get it framed.

Last Saturday, was the monthly Crop-Around-the-Clock at Scrapbook Paradise, our LSS, and while most of my morning was spent creating the Red, White and Blue cake topper, I was able to get a couple of other things done, including my layouts for KuKu’s - March of Dimes and Autism Speaks Auction Scrapbooks.

This first layout is for the March of Dimes scrapbook. I volunteered to do the May pages. The paper is from LYB’s Elizabeth Park line. I’m so in love with this line right now.  I wasn’t sure when I picked it up how I would use it, but now I want more.

This next layout is for the Autism Speaks – Boy 8x8 scrapbook. It’s tough for me to do boy pages, I think I need more practice.  DCWV and MME Lil' Robots provided the backdrop for these pages.

This is for the Autism Speaks – Girl 8x8 scrapbook. I decided to keep it simple, going with DCWV Citrus Splash for these pages.

I also got the chance to finish the day up with a few cards, most importantly my sister’s birthday card. Echo Park Summer Days and some Stickles make a bright, happy way to celebrate her upcoming (43rd) birthday.

I did a few “Thinking of You” cards to round out the day, I kept them very simple.

Make sure to visit *LyndiLou*’s blog, the next one on the hop and leave her a message too.  Glad you stopped by today.
